PS4: Something For The Weekend #ad

Saturday, December 01, 2018

The kids have been playing more and more on the Playstation recently which certainly brings back memories for me, as me and my younger brother were probably around their age when we first got our Playstation 1. Games have advanced a lot in that time and there are now so many different games to choose from. The lovely team at Playstation sent us a big box full of Playstation merchandise recently and 12 different games to try out and enjoy as a family. The kids couldn't have been more excited and I have to say I was quite excited too when I saw the list of games.

  • Overcooked 2
  • Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes
  • Lego DC Supervillains
  • Fifa 19
  • WWE 19
  • Knowledge is Power Decades
  • Chimparty
  • Sonic Mania Plus
  • Frantics
  • Detroit Become Human
  • Life Is Strange
  • Crash Bandicoot

The only game we already had was Frantics which we reviewed earlier this year. You can read the full review here.  We haven't tried them all out yet as there are so many! But so far the games we are loving playing together are Crash Bandicoot and Lego DC Villains. I loved playing Crash Bandicoot as a kid myself so I was so excited by the new remastered version. I felt like a child again, remembering parts I had forgotten, though I am not as good as I used to be!! We took it in turns playing until we were out of lives and spent so long laughing at each other and the silly ways we lost lives. The kids love their Lego games so were really pleased to have a new addition to the collection. The idea of this box, with having so many different games to play, is that we have something fun to do together over the weekends and it is the perfect time of year for it as it is getting cold and miserable outside and we are spending much more time indoors.

I am also excited to try out Knowledge is Power Decades. It is another Playlink game like Frantics so you can use your phone to play against each other. It is a pop culture knowledge quiz with questions about the last four decades. I can imagine it will get quite competitive between us adults! Sam and I will fall out for sure! The children's next request is Overcooked 2 as they love cooking games and really enjoyed that side of the Little Dragons Cafe game we reviewed recently. You can read that review here

All these games are available to buy on the Playstation store or from different retailers such as Amazon. It is a great way to get together with friends and family and there is always a game to suit everyone!

*We were sent these items in return for coverage but all opinions are my own.

  1. We love Playstation and love many of these games too. I loved Crash Bandicoot as a kid and can't wait to try the remastered version some day. My partner who is a massive fan of gaming has said that Detroit Become Human is one of his favourite games of the year. We love Overcooked 2 and Little Dragons Cafe.

    1. It is a complete blast from the past. Nothing has changed at all which makes me really happy!I think Detroit Become Human is definitely my partners kind of game rather than mine so he will be trying that out shortly!
