Review: Get The Label School Shoes

Friday, August 17, 2018

I hate school shoe shopping. Last year I had to go all over trying to find shoes for each of the children and it ended up costing me a fortune. Elsie has teeny tiny feet so I had trouble finding her black shoes small enough and found that there were only two brands which sold black shoes in an infant size 5. This year though I haven't had that trouble because I was contacted by Get The Label and to my utter surprise they had shoes that fit all three children and at great prices.

When I said that I only found two brands that sold tiny black shoes for Elsie , one of them was Dr Martens and one of them was Kickers. The problem with them last year was the £55 price label eating into my already tight budget. Well it turns out that Get The Label sell Kickers school shoes at a fraction of that price. Elsie received a pair of Kickers infant girls Fragma t-bar patent shoes in an infant size 6 which cost just £29.99. As you can see above, Elsie is rather pleased with her pretty new school shoes. They fit really well and I know from experience that they will last as they are great quality.

Gracie received the same shoes as Elsie but in a larger size. They are slightly more expensive but are still a very reasonable £34.99 which is about the price I would expect to pay for a pair of good quality school shoes for her. They are such lovely shoes and Gracie herself has said that they are extremely comfortable and she loves the iconic red and green Kickers tabs on the side of the shoes. It was the first thing she pointed out when she opened the box and she just loves them. Both of the girls are really happy to have matching shoes too.

Zach received a pair of black Skechers trainers. I was a bit horrified when they turned up in a girlswear box as to me they definitely looked unisex so it took a bit of persuading to get him to accept that he could wear them. They fit well though so I am hoping he won't have any problems wearing them to school. I decided on Skechers for him as he is very active and is constantly running around so he needed something more athletic to get him through playtime everyday without coming home with damaged shoes. These Stepz Lo trainers are just £19.99 and look like they will have plenty of wear out of them.

I am so pleased with the selection of shoes and amazed at the prices. Get The Label enables you to get good quality school shoes at a much lower price. I am sure it would especially be good for those with slightly older children who don't want to be the odd one out at school when it comes to branded shoes. I have three children, I am sure I will deal with that struggle in years to come. I am still in awe that I managed to bag Elsie a pair of tiny school shoes without all the stress that usually comes with it.

Get The Label has a great school shoe guide to help decide which kind of shoes to choose for your child as well as an extensive selection of other black shoes or trainers on their website.

*We received these shoes for the purpose of this review but all views are my own. Prices correct at time of publication.
