McDonald's Roald Dahl #Ad

Friday, 29 September 2017

If you have recently visited McDonald's then you may already have seen that the latest Happy Meal promotion is a collection of Roald Dahl books. Roald Dahl is arguably one of the best children's authors, creating magical stories that seem to never grow old. With books spanning from the 1940's right up to his death in 1990. Roald Dahl died before I was even born, yet his books are some of the most memorable books of my childhood and what is even better is my 6 year old is beginning to read his books herself.

The books from the Happy Meal Happy Readers collection are actually an exclusive series of books featuring some of his much loved characters. The collection includes Fantabulous BFG, Wonderful Mr Willy Wonka, Lucky Charlie Bucket, Mischievous Chocolate Factory Children, Amazing Matilda, Marvellous Miss Honey, Rotsome Giants and Brave Little Sophie.

Each book contains extracts about the characters for children to read and fall in love with the characters, along with activities and stickers. We were sent the whole collection for the kids to enjoy. So far Gracie has read and done the activities in Marvellous Miss Honey and Mischievous Chocolate Factory Children. She is really enjoying them. She already recognised some characters as she read Matilda at school and she performed in a production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory last year. I love that she is getting to know the characters more in depth and am looking forward to introducing her to some new ones.

The books will be available for 5 weeks from the launch date which was 13th September 2017. You get one of these fantastic books with each Happy Meal you buy. You can watch a video about them here on Peter Andre's Facebook Page.
