Disney Store Inside Out Deluxe Talking Figures08:00:00
This summer saw the release of Disney Pixar's Inside Out, The film is about a little girl named Riley who is uprooted by her family, moving to a new city, new house and new school and how her emotions- Joy, Anger, Fear, Disgust and Sadness conflict when deciding how to help her deal with everything. Gracie and Zach have watched it twice now and love the film. They were thrilled to receive a deluxe talking figure each from Disney Store. Especially as they arrived while we were all very poorly with a sickness bug. They really did raise smiles when they arrived. We received a Deluxe Talking Anger and a Deluxe Talking Sadness.
The Deluxe talking figures are available for all the lovable characters of the film. Anger and Sadness are our two favourite characters though so of course I chose them to surprise the kids. The attention to detail in the appearance of the toys is brilliant. The clothes are great quality. Anger is wearing his shirt and trousers with a little tie and belt. Sadness is wearing a little knitted sparkly blue jumper with elasticated trousers. Sadness has lovely glittery hair and not the kind of glitter that gets everywhere. It actually has whole strands of glitter effect material running through her hair. Each deluxe talking doll also has their own detachable transparent memory ball with a little slot to insert an image or memory of your own just like in the film.
Touching the hand on the dolls activates them, making them glow and speak some of their popular phrases from the movie. Zach has claimed Anger as his own and in just a few weeks has memorised all his phrases along with his pretend angry face to go with it. He may be angry but he is certainly loveable and I can see him being popular with lot's of children. Gracie has also claimed Sadness (thank god there were no arguments!) and she loves her so much. Her lovely brushable hair, the glitter in her hair and clothes and her cute sad phrases. She is Gracie's favourite character in the movie along with Disgust, so she has asked for the Disgust version for Christmas. Santa will be busy this year with Gracie and her growing wishlist.
The glowing feature is great. It was hard to get a good photograph but as you can see above they glow quite bright and still keep their signature colour which is really cool. I can only find one slight negative which is Sadness's hair and how messy it can get! So far it has easily brushed neatly so fingers crossed it will stay that way.
The deluxe talking figures are just £15.95 each which was less than I expected for a deluxe version! It is definitely a reasonable price for such a cool toy. They are available to buy at www.disneystore.co.uk or in Disney Stores across the UK.
We received the items featured for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own.
