Back To School Essentials15:28:00
Summer is almost over and it is time to make sure you have everything organised for back to school. We are in our last week of the holiday's and I am on a mission to be prepared this year. I have found it is not just uniform to get ready this year but with Gracie starting Reception, and therefore starting full days for the first time, I seem to have so many extra things to get in preparation. I also have Zach starting pre-school and spending time away from me for the first time and so I have two of most things to buy. I thought I would share a few great back to school products that we have either been sent or have bought ourselves.
This really cute Disney Princess Stationery set from Disney Store is a great back to school kit for young girls. I find just going to school really inspires Gracie to come home and practice what she has learnt and the folder and book will be really handy for holding any of her 'work'. She also likes to have a pencil case in her school bag for if she goes to either a friends house or a member of family picks her up and takes her to their house. The set contains Folder, notebook, pencil case, sharpener, rubber, ruler/stencil, scissors, highlighter, 3 x pencils. The set costs £10.95 and is available from www.disneystore.co.uk or in selected Disney Stores.
This super cool Marvel Avengers Age of Ultron super hero lunch bag, also from Disney Store, was chosen by Zach as his lunch bag of choice for lunch club which he will attend a few times a week once he has settled at pre-school. Zach loves his superheroes with Iron Man being his favourite at the moment and he is already excited to take his lunch to school to show off his cool bag. It has an insulated inside and a front zip pocket. The Age of Ultron lunch bag costs £10.95 and is available from www.disneystore.co.uk or selected Disney Stores.
This year Gracie has to take her own water bottle with her to drink out of through the day. I am not a fan of most children's sports bottles as I find them hard to clean thoroughly. This BRITA Fill & Go water filter bottle is easy to use and easy to clean. It is used with a filter disc to ensure her water is as clean tasting as possible. I love filtered water and how refreshing it is. Gracie's BRITA Fill & Go has a pink trim on the lid and mouthpiece which I really like. It is also distinct enough for Gracie to recognise it as hers (although I will be sure to label it anyway). The BRITA Fill & Go comes with 4 discs and recommend you change your filter once a week to ensure your water is well filtered. It costs £14.99 and is available at www.brita.co.uk
One of the biggest school essentials. This year I let both of the kids choose their own school bags.
Gracie insisted on a My Little Pony bag. Luckily, Asda have two different My Little Pony bags available in their back to school range at the moment and Gracie chose the backpack style which I think is really cute and very much Gracie's style. I was surprised that it was only £7, as I had budgeted around £10 each for school bags meaning we were both very pleased with this bag!
Zach's bag we came across by chance. He is a huge Star Wars fan and whilst shopping in B&M we came across this retro Star Wars messenger style bag which he spotted straight away. As Zach will need to take spare clothes etc to school with him, the large size of the bag is perfect for what he needs and will probably last him a few years! Now I can't remember whether this bag was £8.99 or £9.99 but it was under £10 again.
