Review: Chemist Direct

22:15:00

I was recently given a voucher to spend at Chemist Direct, the online pharmacy. They are a registered pharmacy providing all kinds of medicines, health products, vitamins and toiletries delivered straight to your door as well as their online Doctor and prescription service.

I was eager to see what Chemist Direct had to offer so didn't even wait until I had my laptop out, instead I had a browse on my Smartphone and found it so easy to navigate that I purchased my order on my phone easily whilst watching television. Now I wasn't allowed to buy anything which was on offer so was limited to just full priced items from the website. This made me think my money wouldn't go very far but I was wrong. In fact I found so many products that we regularly use at such a great price that I struggled to spend the whole £50 and decided to add extra of some of my favourite items to put away and save us money in the long run by stocking up.

What I bought:

  • Bonjela Teething Gel    £2.62
  • Listerine Teeth & Gum Defence   £2.99
  • Inecto Pure Coconut Oil Conditioner  £1.99
  • Inecto Pure Coconut Oil Shampoo   £2.09
  • Savlon Waterproof Plasters   £1.95
  • Colgate extra clean toothbrush triple pack   £1.49
  • wisdom clean between brushes   £1.49
  • Green People Organic Children's Mandarin Toothpaste  £2.99
  • Aquafresh Little Teeth Toothpaste 3-5 years  £1.25
  • Sure For Men Quantum Antiperspirant Deodorant  £3.99
  • NUK Annabel Karmel Ice Lolly Moulds  £4.99
  • Farley's Rusks Original 9 pack  £1.99
  • Transformers Toiletry Wipes  £0.99
  • 2 x Pears Shower Gel  £1.99 each
  • Kleenex Original Pocket Pack Tissues  £1.39
  • Calpol Infant Suspension  £2.99
  • Peppa Pig Multivitamins  £1.99
  • 2 x Palmers Coconut Oil Formula Leave In Conditioner  £4.99 each
  • Wet Ones Sticky Fingers Travel Pack  £1.00
Total £53.22

I found chemist direct to be perfect to stock up on some of those baby and toddler essentials that are always handy to have at home. Elsie is teething pretty bad at the moment so the Calpol and Bonjela were much needed essentials and the Annabel Karmel Ice Lolly Set looked like it would be perfect to try out with her and a brilliant price at under £5! I was surprised that they sold rusks, not many baby snacks are suitable for dairy free babies but I know that Farley's Original Rusks are completely safe and so I like to always have some to hand for when she is having a grumpy day.

I also stocked up on toiletries. I love coconut oil and use it on the whole family to care for our skin. I decided to try out one of the coconut oil hair care ranges I found on the website. It is called Inecto and it is a range I had never heard of before and after trying it my hair feel amazing and cleaner than it has in a very long time. I couldn't believe how good it is and at such a low price! I will definitely be ordering more when it is running low.

Having healthy teeth is important to me and I ensure we always have plenty of dental care products in the bathroom. I bought Toothbrushes, interdental brushes, mouthwash and children's toothpaste.

I am amazed at how much I got for just £50 and that was without taking advantage of the amazing offers they have on their website. They also have great bulk buy offers with massive savings. A lot of the items are the same price as you would find them at your regular high street shops and supermarkets, when not on offer, but I found many of the offers put them to lower prices than I have seen elsewhere. You also get the added bonus of having them delivered straight to your door and being able to read reviews on the items on the website.

Delivery is free on orders over £40 but I recommend joining the mailing list as they regularly send voucher codes and special offers exclusive for members of their mailing list.

I will definitely be ordering from chemist direct again! It will take me a while to work my way through this lot first but I will definitely be putting in another order for the shampoo and conditioner!

You can find out more or buy any of these products at www.chemistdirect.co.uk and you can follow them on Twitter and catch up on the latest news and offers at @ChemistDirect
