Warwick Castle: Have you got the W Factor?22:11:00
If you are stuck for plans this weekend and want a bit of gory fun then Warwick Castle has just the plans for you! Horrible Histories® characters have been entertaining visitors at Warwick Castle since 2012 but this year marks the first ever stage show, ‘Wicked Warwick’, to be specially scripted for Warwick Castle and brought to life in partnership with The Birmingham Stage Company. To celebrate, the Warwick Castle team now invite members of the public to join the family fun with the chance to win a one-time cameo in ‘Wicked Warwick’ by auditioning for ‘The W Factor at Warwick Castle.’
‘The W Factor at Warwick Castle’ parodies a format familiar to prime-time TV viewers, offering an extraordinary opportunity for budding stage stars and history lovers of any age to ‘audition’ for a one-time cameo in a performance of ‘Wicked Warwick’ this half term.
Entering is easy, free of charge and anyone who registers will receive a 2-4-1 voucher for entry to the Castle on the day. To enter, simply visit the Warwick Castle website to register your intention to audition live for a panel of judges at ‘The W Factor at Warwick Castle’ on Wednesday 27 May. Entrants are encouraged to upload their practice videos to the Warwick Castle Facebook page with the tag #thewfactor to draw extra attention to their talents and receive priority placement in the audition queue. Last minute entries may be accommodated on 27 May depending on time available.
The judging panel will select four entrants to perform in live shows at Warwick Castle the following month, on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June. One overall lucky winner will also receive a unique starlit woodland family sleepover in the Mediaeval Glamping Village on 21 June, only 5 minutes from the Castle and located in a beautiful woodland glade. Now that is a prize worth entering for!!
There is still time left to enter but be quick as it is just two days away now! You can register here www.warwick-castle.com/explore/the-w-factor.
We will be there so if you can't make it you can keep an eye on the hashtag #thewfactor for pictures and updates on all the gory fun!
