Sponsored Review: Walkers Mighty Lights22:23:00
We are big crisp fans in our house. You may have seen our review of the Walkers Hoops & Crosses a few months back which went down a treat with Gracie. Well Walkers have a new tasty treat they wanted us to do the taste test on. Walkers Mighty Lights have 30% less fat than standard potato crisps and come in three delicious flavours, Cheese & Onion, Lightly Salted and Roast Chicken. The slogan for the Mighty Lights is 'Mighty in flavour. Lower in fat.' and they couldn't have described them any better! They contain no artificial colours or preservatives, No MSG and are suitable for vegetarians.
When our package of Mighty Lights arrived I was happy to see we had received a multipack of each flavour so we could all try the different flavours and decide which was whose favourite. The first ones to make the taste test was Lightly Salted, these were definitely my favourites, I usually find ready salted crisps bland but these are lightly seasoned with herbs and spices to give them a slight edge. Daddy and Gracie were both fans of these too and the packets soon disappeared in no time. They are definitely a flavour for all the family. Roast Chicken were Gracie's favourite, they were the first packet she went for when I gave her the choice everytime. I never got to try a full pack of the chicken, I just finished off whatever Gracie left in the packet each time and I have to say they are full of flavour I couldn't believe how tasty they were for low fat crisps! Cheese & Onion were Daddy's favourite and have been going into his lunchbox everyday for work. I don't like Cheese & Onion flavour crisps so couldn't bring myself to try them but Daddy said that they taste just like standard Cheese & Onion crisps so was happy to have a healthier alternative that was just as tasty.
Overall we were all very happy with the Mighty Lights. We all had our own favourites and will definitely be buying them with our shopping. They are a great size for lunchboxes but I would say they are slightly too big for Children of Gracie's age (she is almost three) but she just ate as much as she wanted and puts the rest away no problem. They would make a great guilt free treat for kids in their school packed lunches and are available to buy now in most supermarkets. I know I like to treat my kids to crisps, sweets etc. so I am always looking for slightly healthier alternatives to make me feel better about treating them! So I am very happy with this new offering from Walkers Crisps and am pleased that they are constantly looking for great tasting low fat recipes for their products.
