Lin & Leo Babybag challenge 3: me time

Monday, 22 July 2013

When the latest challenge from Lin & Leo pinged into my inbox I got very excited. It is definitely my favourite so far! It is not very often I get 'me time' and took great pressure in breaking the news to Andy that I would be going out to do something for myself? Although the  challenge was to use the bag as a handbag for ourselves rather than using it for the children and in fact I did just that using it for my weekend at Britmums Live, I just chose to keep that information to myself and take full advantage ;)

First I had to pick a friend, which wasn't hard I chose my oldest friend who I don't get any alone timewith anymore. Then we had to pick what to do; my first thought was pub garden but alcohol isn't my friend and we both had work early the next morning! So we decided on meal then cinema. The date was set and I was so excited.

We went to Frankie and Benny's for a meal, I had never been before and was told I was missing out so had to give it a try. Usually we only go somewhere if it's two for one or has a soft play area so I immediately got nervous over the fact I'd ordered pizza and couldn't decide if I should eat it with my hands or be posh and use cutlery for a pizza! The food was yummy and when it came to paying the bill I easily found my purse which wasn't covered in nappies, wipes, spilt milk. In fact my bag had barely anything in for a change just my essentials; purse, phone, keys, diary and some loose lemon sherbets. There was loads of spare room but that was my plan.

Next stop Tesco for some cinema essentials. Of course it works out so much cheaper buying from a shop rather than at the cinema so we popped over the road to Tesco where I loaded up my Lin & Leo bag with some popcorn, Pic'n'mix and a bottle of pop. We then got to the cinema just in time for our showing. We watched the star studded This Is The End which was hilarious for the whole film I was either jumping out of my seat or laughing. I had a great night out and my bag was perfect for storing everything I needed.

I was sent the Lin & Leo BabyBag free of charge for the purpose of my reviews. All views and opinions are my own.
